Golden Rockies Outdoor Wilderness Lodge
Perfect sled-trip basecamp.
Bright, spacious house on a large private property with epic views of the Columbia Valley and Kicking Horse. Only 20 minutes to Quartz Creek snowmobiling and 15 minutes to Golden.
After a full day out, kick back by the wood stove, rack up some games on the pool table, and finish strong in the private 6-person hot tub — ideal for thawing out sore legs and backs. The open-concept main floor makes it easy to hang out as a group, and there’s even an extra hidden bed if someone crashes early.
Upstairs you’ve got three queen bedrooms, plenty of space for gear, and killer views to wake up to. Quiet, friendly area with lots of room and privacy — exactly what you want after a long day riding.

Whispering Forest Campground
Built for sledders who like it quiet.
With only 8 campsites, Whispering Forest Campground offers a small, low-key setup — perfect if you’re hauling your own rig and sleds and want space to spread out without crowds.
The level, gravel sites make parking trailers and setting up camp easy, with individual fire pits and enough room for gear, fuel, and a proper sled setup. After a long day riding, this is the kind of place where you can actually shut it down, warm up, and sleep.
Centrally located for access to mountain terrain and surrounding recreation areas, it’s a solid home-away-from-home for winter riders looking for a quiet basecamp between ride days.
